ECHELON is the code name for a top secret military facility located near Isis, a newly discovered planet at the edge of our solar system. ECHELON was established by the International Space Federation (ISF) to protect shipping and mining operations from attack by renegade pirate vessels who have terrorized commerce in the area and are beginning to gain an upper hand.

Your orders are to report to ECHELON to be trained to operate the 21st Century's most advanced spacecraft, the C-104 Light Cruiser, code named TOMAHAWK. This patrol vessel has been designed specifically for planetary exploration a
